Money Orders

As a service to our members, your Credit Union offers Money Orders for sale. Money orders may be purchased from a Credit Union teller at any of our branch offices. They are available in amounts up to and including $1,000.

Cashiers Checks

Cashiers checks are available from any branch for a small fee. Cashiers checks are the same as cash; do not send cashiers checks in the mail.

Wiring Funds

Your credit union has the capability to transfer funds by three methods:

  1. Western Union Wires may be authorized from your account to you or a joint owner of your account. Western Union Wire instructions received before 4:45 pm can usually be sent and received the same day.

  2. Credit Union Money Order Wires are a worldwide network of certain cooperating military credit unions. Credit Union Money Order Wire instructions received before 4:30 pm can usually be sent and received the same day.

  3. Bank Wires are from your account to another financial institution. Contact the receiving institution for specific wire transfer instructions, including their ABA number, complete name, and address. Bank Wire instructions received before 2:00 pm can usually be sent and received the same day.

Arkansas Federal will also receive incoming bank wires for deposit to a member's account. To wire funds into your account at Arkansas Federal Credit Union, the quickest and most economical method is through the Western Union Quick Collect method. Just call 1-800-238- 5772 to find the nearest Western Union agent. There are more than 18,000 Western Union offices across the country. Once you reach the Western Union office, tell the agent you want to send a Quick Collect payment or deposit to Arkansas Federal Credit Union in Jacksonville, Arkansas. Give your name, credit union member number and code words, "ARKFCU, Arkansas". You'll pay Western Union a flat fee of $11.50. Your payment or deposit will reach us within one hour.

Notary Public Service

Your Credit Union is happy to offer members notary public service at no charge. Just bring the item you need notarized to the Credit Union loan area at any branch.

Safe Deposit Boxes

How do you safely store your legal documents, birth certificates, jewelry, and family heirlooms? You can keep important items safe and secure in a Credit Union safe deposit box. Safe deposit boxes are available for rent at the Cabot, Jacksonville, Little Rock, North Little Rock,  West Little Rock, Fort Smith, and Bryant branch locations.

Boxes are available in four convenient sizes:

  • 3" x 5"
  • 3" x 10"
  • 5" x 10"
  • 10" x 10"

Boxes are available at competitive rental rates.

Consumer Credit Counseling Service (CCCS)

Arkansas Federal Credit Union supports Consumer Credit Counseling Service (CCCS) a program of Family Service Agency. CCCS is a private not-for-profit community program that provides money management counseling to individuals and families. They provide services such as Free Budgeting, Free Housing Counseling, Free Debt Counseling, and Debt Repayment Plans (An Alternative to Bankruptcy). If you are interested in any of the above named programs, please contact a CCCS representative at 1-800-255-2227 (www.helpingfamilies.org). A CCCS representative will be available, by appointment only, at our Jacksonville Branch location.

Power Pay Debt Liquidation

The Power Pay Debt Liquidation Report shows members how to cut years off of the time required to pay off their debt, which can save an individual hundreds, even thousands, of dollars. The report provides a "road map" for paying off the debt quickly and efficiently by allocating the funds already being used for the minimum monthly payments in the most efficient method possible.
