Privilege Pay
Arkansas Federal Credit Union now offers another layer of overdraft protection to your checking account through Privilege Pay. This money saving and peace of mind service was developed to help members in case there was an unforeseen error made in their checking account. Privilege Pay will pay any item presented for payment against your AFCU checking account that might cause your account to be overdrawn up to $500.
How Does Privilege Pay Work
Privilege Pay works as another line of defense against an item being returned insufficient whether that item is a check, debit card transaction or ACH/automatic debit. Privilege Pay will pay the item presented up to the $500 Privilege Pay limit (including the $24 Privilege Pay fee). If you should use Privilege Pay, you should bring your negative balance to zero as quickly as possible, but within 30 days from the initial day the account becomes negative. There are no other forms for you to fill out; if you qualify for Privilege Pay you will automatically be enrolled. If you would like to Opt-Out of Privilege Pay you can complete the Opt-Out form and return it to any branch location at your convenience. If you have previously Opted-Out of this service and now would like to take advantage of Privilege Pay you can complete the Opt-In form and return it to any branch location at your convenience.
