We understand the unique challenges of transitioning from military to civilian life. In fact, not only were we founded by service members, but many of our current employees are also veterans, so we truly “get it” because we’ve been there too.

Our Roots
Like you, our roots are deeply embedded in the US Military. In fact, Arkansas Federal was founded by seven airmen in 1956 as Little Rock Air Force Base Federal Credit Union (LRAFB FCU) to serve the financial needs of military personnel. Today, we still serve our military personnel and families, but we’ve also expanded our membership base to include those in the surrounding communities we serve. While our name is a bit shorter now and our service reach broader, we haven’t forgotten our military roots.
Our Logo
Remembering our roots, we took great care in designing the new logo and corporate image. The traditional patriotic colors of red, white, and blue were chosen because they exemplify the unwavering dedication of our military as they unselfishly serve our great country. The eagle and flag also give strength and provide credence to our origins.
