Community

Committed to making a difference in our local communities.

At the heart of Arkansas Federal Credit Union is a dedication to making a difference for our employees, team members, and the communities we serve. We do this by employees giving from their hearts, volunteering our time, and donating and sponsoring fundraising events. Twenty-twenty was a year where the communities and charities needed our support more than ever. COVID-19 didn’t stop us from delivering on the donations, scholarships, and sponsorships that make a difference to the communities that we serve. We are proud to share that through the support of our employees, our members, and corporate initiatives, Arkansas Federal contributed more than $352,000 in 2020.

Employee Giving

Giving back is a passion that is lived throughout our organization, and we couldn’t be prouder of our employees. Each year, our employees generously donate to local charities directly from their paychecks. In 2020, these contributions totaled more than $34,000! We’re proud to share the following organizations who were the recipients of that giving.

Volunteer Time

2,951. That’s how many hours our employees volunteered from 2015 – 2020 toward improving our communities on behalf of the credit union. In 2020, even with the pandemic keeping us apart, employees gave back over 146 hours – that equals to $6,194.45 in employee work hours.

Scholarships

We strongly believe in the value of education to assist young adults with annual scholarships. Each year, we award a $5,000 scholarship to a graduating high school student planning to attend either a two- or four-year accredited institution or trade school. The recipient must either be a member of Arkansas Federal or have an immediate family member who is an active member.
