Community

Committed to making a difference in our local communities.

At the heart of Arkansas Federal Credit Union is a dedication to making a difference for our employees, members, and the communities we serve. Through corporate donations, sponsorships, employee volunteerism, and employee donations, we consistently demonstrate our support to worthy causes that directly benefit our communities. We are proud to say since 2015, Arkansas Federal and its employees have donated more than $1,247,000.00 to our charities of choice.

Employee Giving

Giving back is a passion that is lived throughout our organization, and we couldn’t be prouder of our employees. Each year, our employees generously donate to local charities directly from their paychecks. In 2022, these contributions totaled more than $34,000! We’re proud to share the following organizations that were the recipients of that giving.

Annual Golf Tournament

Our annual golf tournament is consistently Arkansas Federal’s top fundraiser. The proceeds from this event benefit a local charity that is dear to our hearts, and in 2022 we chose to donate to CARTI to benefit Arkansas cancer patients.

Volunteer Time

Each year, we grant every Arkansas Federal team member up to 48 hours of paid time off to volunteer for causes they feel passionate about, and in 2022, our employees volunteered 265.59 hours! That is about $7,476.36 in employee work hours.

Scholarships

We strongly believe in the value of education to assist young adults with annual scholarships. Each year, we award a $5,000 scholarship to a graduating high school student planning to attend either a two- or four-year accredited institution or trade school. The recipient must either be a member of Arkansas Federal or have an immediate family member who is an active member.
