Arkansas Federal Credit Union Announces 2025 Scholarship Recipient
6/18/2025
Kinley Carter of Malvern is the recipient of the 2025 Arkansas Federal Credit Union Scholarship. Since 2003, Arkansas Federal has awarded $5,000 to members or children of members who are college or trade school-bound high school seniors.
A recent graduate of Harmony Grove High School, Ms. Carter will be attending Arkansas State University to pursue a degree in Nursing. This year, Arkansas Federal received more than 190 scholarship applications. Recipients must use the scholarship funds at a two- or four-year accredited institution or trade school recognized by the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Postsecondary Education.
“We continue to be impressed with the level of achievement that our scholarship applicants possess not only in the classroom but out,” said Amber Reilly, vice president of Collections and scholarship review committee member. “Kinley’s ability to balance a challenging scholastic schedule, extracurricular activities, and two jobs all the while maintaining an above 4.0 GPA, thoroughly impressed the committee. But what made Kinley stand apart from all the other applicants was her ability to achieve all this in the face of personal hardship. Giving Kinley an opportunity to further expand her education in Nursing and make a difference in the lives of others aligns with Arkansas Federal’s mission to make a difference in the lives of the members, employees, and communities we serve.”
Ms. Carter will receive a check for $5,000 to Arkansas State University in August to apply to her course of study. Congratulations on a job well done!
